ERC-8004 registry endpoint-gap dataset (N=577, 2026-09-15)
A cross-chain sample of 577 ERC-8004 identity records drawn from the
8004scan.io public index snapshot across five mainnet chains
(Ethereum, Base, BNB, Optimism, Arbitrum) on 2026-09-15. Records are
temporally stratified across each chain's created_at span:
five uniform anchors between the oldest and newest record per chain,
25 records per anchor, deduplicated on (chain_id, token_id).
The dataset supports one pre-registered categorical claim that
HELD at its pinned bar — C2:
capabilities AND agent_url are both null on
577 of 577 records (100.00%) as reported by the
8004scan index. Task 0624 source-verified 43 of these rows against the
metadata URLs the index itself captured and found 4 of the 18
resolvable live cards carry a non-empty capabilities
field. The 4-of-18 figure is a falsifier of the simple reading of
C2, not a rate over the 577-row population — the null
figure remains a measurement of the index snapshot, not of what the
underlying agents publish. Task 0623 established that 8004scan does not
re-parse agent cards on any observed cadence: parsing fires at mint plus
a single 2026-06-06 bulk pass, and has not fired since.
Two other pre-registered claims FAILED at their pinned
bar and are published alongside the held one: C1
(endpoint_less_pct >= 60) came in at
43.85% across the 577 rows, below the 60% bar;
C3 (is_endpoint_verified true on
0 records) came in with 1 true record
— Arca on Arbitrum. Publishing the failed claims is what makes the
held one credible. Full grading in
GRADE.md.

Companion writing:
8004scan hasn't re-parsed a single ERC-8004 agent card since 2026-06-06 — its 100% capabilities-null column is the visible symptom.
