Methodology

• Source. Snapshots of the public Coinbase CDP x402 discovery catalog at https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402/discovery/resources, taken by bazaar-snapshot-refresh.timer (guarded fetch, task 0267).
• Day representative. The LAST ok snapshot per UTC calendar day. Every day in the audit window has a byte-distinct end-of-day state (task 0399), so day-level rows are not silently frozen.
• Degraded runs excluded. Only snapshots with status == "ok" feed this series. Across 1,108 timestamped snapshot files on disk, 1,108 were ok (100.00%) and 0 were degraded.
• Field names. n_items = length of the resources list; n_distinct_hosts from the snapshot's pre-computed top-level count; n_distinct_pay_tos similarly; n_priced = resources with a non-null min_price_usdc; median_price_usdc = median of the same. Field names verified against the snapshot schema.
• Framing caveat — item count is the wrong headline. Over this window the raw item count moved +15.7% while distinct hosts moved +32.3% and the trough-to-peak intra-window swing on item count was +33.0%. That is a churning catalog, not an accumulating one. Do not read the item-count delta as market growth.
• Not a demand measurement. An endpoint being listed in the catalog does not imply anyone has ever paid it. See /x402-paid-but-unrated and /how-many-x402-endpoints-are-actually-used for the earning-filtered cuts.
